Chatman Scholarship

Applications are now being taken for the Chatman Scholarships.

Joint Board director Gary Bonadonna noted that the " scholarship was totally revamped last year in an effort to open it up to significantly more members' children."

The scholarship pays up to ten sch0larships worth $2000 each and are awarded annually. Gary emphasized that the scholarship program is open to members' eligible children throughout the Joint Board's jurisdiction. See the link below for more information on applying for the scholarship.

The scholarship honors Abraham "Abe" Chatman, who served as Joint Board manager for 55 years, and who also helped organize the former Buffalo Clothing Joint Board in 1932.

May 1, 2012 is the dealine for filing an application and essay.
