Local 14-A members make traditional Xerox toners August, 2010: Our Local 14-A members work in many areas of Xerox’ Webster complex, including distribution, assembly, maintenance, trucking and the manufacturing of the new generation dry inks known as EA toners. But, they also work in one of the least heralded — and most vital areas — the production of traditional toners that have been in use for decades — and still are across the U.S. These toners are an ongoing source of significant revenue for Xerox — and our members are making the only source of the toner in America. Here is a look at some of those members at work; we’ll bring you more of them later in a second segment. |
